Good Morning Juice

My heavy morning breakfast consists of one of the following fruit shakes.

1. Watermelon, slice of pineapple, 2 bananas,  calamansi juice
2. Watermelon,  2 bananas,  calamansi juice, guayabano
3. Melon, 2  bananas  calamansi juice, papaya
4. 2  bananas,  melon, dalandan

Every morning, the fruits are all freshly chopped in bite size pieces , ( except  for the calamansi juice) and put in a blender. They are also at room temperature and it would take me all of  twenty seconds to gulp the fruit shake down.  I find that I never get hungry till about midday .

I never eat anything with my fruit shake, I also prefer local fruits, I think they have less preservatives than the imported ones. I want to start my day as natural and healthy as can be ........ because by dinner time, I have already fallen into temptation.

There is always a new day to try again.

Try using saba banana instead of lakatan. It has more nutritional value from what I have read. It's so yummy and makes the shake richer and thicker, too!

Hi Ms.Becky, my Mom and I had been taking a vegetable/fruit juice daily too. But ours is a bit different, its a mix of 5 green vegetables and fruit. Chinese Cucumber, Ampalaya, Green Bell Pepper, Celery stalks and Green Apple. I agree with what you said, I also never get hungry till midday :) But I like your combination better and I believe it will taste better too ;)

Hi Precious, do you juice the veggies and fruit? Or do you blend them. I usually have the veggie cocktail for my afternoon snack, In the morning , I take the blended fruits , I feel I need the fiber. I will definitely try your concoction. Thank you.

We juice them, but I must warn you to find the best Ampalaya available, if its too bitter it defeats the sweetness of the green apple :)

Ok got that. Will try it. Thank you

Hi ms. becky! May i know what veggie cocktail you recommend?

Hi anonymous, I started vegetable juicing with cucumbers and celery. I wash the cucumbers very very well before peeling them. I don't understand why some of them are so shiny. After a while , I start adding leafy greens like romaine lettuce or cabbage, depending on what I find that's organic. I don't touch carrots causevthe juice is full of sugar. With my fruits, I also don't juice them because the juice is all sugar. I really just blend the bananas, watermelon etc together to get all the fiber. It will be good to take your veggie cocktail in the morning too. Thank you.

Hi anonymous, I don't know much about wheatgrass and barley although I read up on them. I haven't tried them but I see the wheatgrass commercials on TV.
